Horace Pan is a prominent figure in interior design, born into an Indonesian Chinese family and raised in Hong Kong. He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design, earning an Honorary Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and a Master's Degree in Design. In 2003, he founded his award-winning design practice, PANORAMA, which blends his unique cultural background with design elements from both regions to create "narrative" and "healing" experiences across various spatial categories.
Pan is often invited to serve as a keynote speaker at international forums and as a jury member for prestigious design competitions, including the Netherlands' FRAME Awards, Japan's JCD Awards, Taiwan's TID Awards, Malaysia's MIID REKA Awards, JIDA Design Awards, and Hong Kong's APIDA Awards and HKDA Global Design Awards. He has held significant roles such as Chairman of the Hong Kong Interior Design Association, Director of the Hong Kong Design Centre, and Executive Board Member of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI). Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Practice at his alma mater.
Among his notable personal honors include Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Designers Award, China Entrepreneur Award, Leader of Chinese Design Celebrity, Interior Design China's Designer of the Year and Hall of Fame Inductee, Designer of the Year from Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) Award and Pioneering Visionary Award from Japan SKY Design Award.
